NowHere Media is an Emmy® nominated studio in Berlin designing virtual and augmented reality experiences, powered by evocative storytelling. We work with film production companies, nonprofits, media organisations and brand partners to create impactful stories that inspire and engage global audiences.
Our work finds itself at the intersection of art, technology and social change. Founders Felix Gaedtke and Gayatri Parameswaran have backgrounds in journalism and believe in the power of stories to transform.
We specialise in the fields of human rights, conflict, social justice and the climate crisis. From covering the war in Syria to chasing snow leopards in the Himalayas, we’re trained for productions in hostile and challenging environments. We handle our productions with extreme care.
We value quality over quantity, and understand diversity in all its forms to be an asset. All our pieces are born out of co-creative and collaborative processes. For each project, we carefully curate teams to meet specific needs for immersive design -- photogrammetry, volumetric capture, animation, spatial sound, interactivity or multisensory installations.
At NowHere, we care about furthering the art of immersive storytelling by empowering up and coming XR creators. We take up speaking and mentoring engagements for conferences, workshops and other events.

Dark Rooms is an immersive documentary and a virtual safe space for exploring non-normative sexual practices and desires by facilitating a virtual meeting between the audience and actual practitioners, and challenging them to confront their own boundaries through novel consent mechanics. MORE

ALIPH AR
ALIPH AR is a mobile augmented reality application that complements a touring physical installation about protecting cultural heritage in areas of conflict. The project conceived together with the international NGO ALIPH is aimed at raising awareness and funding for protection of cultural heritage. MORE

How would Berlin look, sound, smell and feel with friendlier mobility infrastructure? In Berlin 2037, a teenage girl with a radical desire to change society invites you to hop on a VR-enabled bicycle and ride into her utopia. MORE
KUSUNDA
In the documentary VR experience KUSUNDA, you meet Hima as she reminds her grandfather of his forgotten mother tongue. Navigate through the narrative by speaking words in the sleeping indigenous language, and join the fight for its revitalisation. MORE
HOME AFTER WAR
What if home becomes the place you fear? In Home After War, a room scale interactive VR experience, an Iraqi father returns to Fallujah to face the threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Join him in his home and discover the unfolding of a tragic event. MORE

REVIVE (Community-Centered Language REVItalisation powered by Heritage-Led Storytelling and Digital Innovation in Europe) is a project that leverages immersive technologies and storytelling to preserve and celebrate linguistic heritage. It introduces REVIVE(S), an EU-first platform featuring an online archive, XR narratives, and interactive community exhibitions.
